Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. The father of her Sergey (d. 2019) was an athlete in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was birthed in Minsk on May 5, 1998. Aryna Sabalenka holds 12 WTA Singles titles. One that was awarded the title 'Grand Slam' during the Australian Open 2023. Also, she is a great doubles player. She's won two Majors to her name in this category, that include the US Open 2019 and the Australian Open 2021 won both together with Elise Mertens. In the end, she won the Sunshine Double was achieved by Elise and her in the year 2019. They both won WTA 1000s in Indian Wells & Miami. This feat was made possible by four couples competing in singles for women. In the month of January, 2023, she surpassed her top ranking in singles. The 23rd day of August 2021, she climbed to the second spot in the world rankings. In doubles however she pushed herself up to first place at the beginning of February that year following her victory in Melbourne being the first tennis player born in Belarus to make it in the sport of doubles. Dmitry Tursunov (a former Russian tennis player) was her coach for a portion of 2019 as well as from the year 2018 until closing. Dieter Kindlmann was briefly with her in August through September 2020. From the beginning of 2020 she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Her top idols are Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova.
